Oppo Ace 2 Price : features and speculations
Oppo has announced its first phone with wireless charging. The Ace 2 is a follow-up to last year's Reno Ace, which still holds the record for the world's fastest wired charging system in a shipping phone, but omits the "Reno" brand name.
Oppo is foot-jumping into the water with wireless charging, also with a 40W "AirVOOC" system, which should be as fast as in the market. Wired charging on the Ace 2 is class-leading as well as a 65W SuperVOOC when using bundled cables and adapters Happens with 2.0.
The Ace 2 is not as attractive as the new Find X2 Pro, Oppo's current flagship, but its specs are more than serviceable. The camera system only seems a bit pedestrian in comparison, with a 48-megapixel main camera, 8-megapixel ultravide and 2-megapixel macro and depth sensor.
It is notable that both Oppo and its sister company OnePlus are getting on board with wireless charging, as OnePlus CEO Pete Lau recently confirmed The Verge. Although OnePlus's solution is 30W, not 40W, the move means fellow BBK brands Realme and Vivo are among the very remaining wireless charging holdups - although at least this idea from the later Apex 2020 concept phone with 60W wireless charging Is being discovered.

OPO is launching Ace 2 in China on April 20. Pricing starts at 3,999 yuan (~ $ 565) for models with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage, 8GB / 256GB for 12GB / 256GB and increases to 4,399 yuan ($ 625) for 4,599 yuan ($ 650).
